About Us
The Pharmacy Contemporary Art Space is a non-profit, artist-run contemporary art space located in Carlisle. Our mission is to support creative practice from artists at all stages of their careers; some may be early-career artists, perhaps still studying, whilst others may be established artists from both local and national backgrounds.
The Pharmacy provides a flexible and independent platform for people and groups to test ambitious ideas, collaborate, and connect with audiences. We provide space and support for exhibitions, events, and workshops as well as co-ordinating a professional development programme for students of University of Cumbria.
The Pharmacy has a rolling committee who work on a voluntary basis currently consisting of Jess Giblin, Calum Eccleston, and Poppy Cookson.

Previous committee members were Jamie F Simpson (Director), Alexis Leanne, Anna Christie, Jamie Diwell, and Rory Laycock.

We were previously known as The Fisher Street Collective and exhibited in Fisher Street Social Club.
